From artificial intelligence to mechatronics – MetaPrintArt

Under the banner of freedom, the Communication Festival 2022 speaks the language of science and innovation. The 9th edition of the Communication Festival (September 8 – 11 in Camogli) focuses on these issues in collaboration with the University of Genoa, the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, the Human Technopolis, the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) Genoa and its major of science to discuss technology and freedom.

How can the new frontier of artificial intelligence coexist with free will? How do high-tech applications fit with today’s laws and regulations? How will art change as a result of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and how will our worldview evolve beyond and through the metaverse? The 2022 edition of Communication Festival of Camogli, dedicated to his subject Freedomit will also be a journey between science and technology, dedicated to the discovery of the new and above all to understanding how the innovations that are so talked about lead to equally new interpretations and nuances of the very concept of being free.

Technology and freedom

Absolute innovation this year is the dedicated section Free will and artificial intelligence, a topic that touches as much on philosophy, ethics, and theology as it does on economics, medicine, history, law, information technology, and robotics. Which has to do with concepts of will and choice, destiny and luck, and therefore raises questions about determinism and destiny. They will be present at the Camogli for Human Technopole Giuseppe Testadirector of the Neurogenomics Research Center with a lecture dedicated to “Freedom and digitization of the living“, afterward Taverna Elena And Nereo Kalebic to tell “The evolution of the human brain from DNA to artificial intelligence“. Guido Scorzamember of the board of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data and the scientific director of the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa Giorgio Metta instead they will be in dialogue Luca De Biase on the subject “Artificial intelligence: the reasons for progress and those of law”. Alberto Diasprodirector of the Nanophysics department of the Italian Institute of Technology, will focus on the freedom to see beyond the postuniverse era with “I have seen things or see the invisible”then the director and information officer of Rai Radio 3 will speak again on the subject of the metaverse Andrea Montanari And Christiana Castellottistarting with the ideas offered by Luca De Biase’s latest book “And yet he innovates. Journey in search of the Italian model”.

of “Artificial intelligence: new freedoms to gain and old freedoms to preserve“We will discuss the head of the Human Technopole Center for Computational Biology research group Francesco Ioriothe director of Enel’s Global e-Mobility Division Elizabeth Ripa and his manager Wired Federico Ferrazza. And speaking of seasonal turning points, Guido Tonelli of CERN in Geneva will say how “Ten years after the discovery of the Higgs boson“Our view of matter and the origin of the universe has changed profoundly.

Another special section of the program, entirely focused on scientific research and technology, will animate the new location of the Festival The Terrace of Knowledgea space devoted to reflection on the subject of Liberty declined “Borders, Grounds, Territories”, in collaboration with the University of Genoa and the National Institute of Nuclear Physics. The Terrace of Knowledge will be a space where the researchers of today and tomorrow will present the latest state of the art of their research in the various fields, opening themselves to public curiosity in a constructive and informal way through a program of 20 meetings distributed during the four days of the Festival. Among others, the INFN director of Genoa will speak Mauro Tayuti, Lucia Botanothe first woman invited to direct the Gran Sasso National Laboratories, Gianluca Cem, Rodolfo ZuninoThe Vice Chancellor of the University of Genoa Fabrizio Benedethe director of the Righi Astronomical Observatory Walter Riva and the press representative of the rector of the University of Genoa Iliana Rufoni. From Friday 9 to Sunday 11 SeptemberInformation point of the University of Genoaa space dedicated to orientation and aimed at secondary school students, new graduates, those approaching university for the first time and those who want to continue or resume their studies after an interruption.

Innovation, technology and science also become protagonists of activities around the festival, with dedicated exhibitions and workshops. “The mechatronics you don’t expect” is the workshop designed for girls and boys aged 6 to 19 years collaboration with DITEN (Department of Marine, Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering of the University of Genoa) in which Rodolfo Zunino and the SEAlab laboratory of the University of Genoa created the animation “Blade Runner”, dedicated to the cult film that this year celebrates 40 years since its release in cinemas. To simulate memory formation in a sensory machine, a set of memories will be installed in the translucent cube placed over the android’s head, thus activating its cognitive functions, voice and eyes. Finally the gallery P46having exhibited Renzo Piano, Gianni Berengo Gardin and Max Cardelli, he brings his world for the first time cryptography and blockchain technology at the Camogli Communication Festival with the exhibition “Art, technology and freedom”in which the works of the artists will be presented Toomuchlag, Nate Hill And Mateo Mauroleading exponents of the digital revolution of the NFT world.
