A meeting that includes Norandino, Meru Herbs, Green Net, three realities from Peru, Kenya and Thailand who will speak to the Genoese audience through the voices of six representatives, two from each company. On stage will be Sakonwan Kaewsomboon and Veerasuda Sriratanasomboon from Southeast Asia, Charity Karimi Njoki and Sally Eunice W. Kimotho from Africa and Maira Elizabeth López López and Santiago Enrique Paz López from Latin America. A women’s delegation that will meet volunteers and consumers from Liguria to show and tell the “backstage” of fair and sustainable trade.

In particular, the agri-food supply chain is at the heart of the three realities, from Norandino coffee to Green Net organic rice to Meru Herbs’s precious hibiscus (main ingredient in karkadé).
The evening entitled “Come away with me – a journey around the world of fair trade”, hosted and presented by Genoese journalist and Bottega Solidale volunteer Giovanna Rosi, will be accompanied by the music of the green band Ritmiciclando and its frontman . Olmo Manzano, who with their authentic self-produced instruments with recycled materials will guide the public on a journey to the notes of their music, with an experimental rhythm inspired by contemporary music but with an ethnic heart.

A long conversation with the producers will be a way to get to know and enter the fair trade market, deepening the essence of sustainable trade. a journey to get closer to the activities of different countries of the world, as through a long journey the guests of the foreign delegations met and became known. Travel is in fact the central theme of the night, as the title says, both as a physical experience, movement in space and peoples, and as a spiritual and cultural learning, to discover different and distant realities.

The “fair trade ambassadors” will arrive in the Ligurian capital on Friday morning, the 20th day, after a city tour and a visit to the Bottega Solidale stores to meet the Genoese fair trade volunteers, they will meet the citizens.

The meeting is free of charge without reservation, subject to availability, organized by Bottega Solidale in collaboration with Sustainable Citizens and organized with the contribution of the Region Liguria LR 2022.
